About

I thrive in spaces where I am an observer and outside of the narrative. Rarely will you find me at the front bench. I prefer occupying space at a strategic place, where I can see life unfolding for each of the room occupants.

I knew I would end up a writer. What I didn’t know is how crazy this passion of mine would make me. I quit my job a few years ago to pursue writing full time. Currently, I am writing from Cyprus, a beautiful Island full of history, culture, life and surrounded by the massive Mediterranean waters.

When I am not writing, you will find me cooking, enjoying food, travelling, music, reading, passing time with close friends and family. There’s something extraordinary about watching a surfer enjoying themselves in water. The way they wait for the waves and ride them gives me hope in life; that when life’s waves hit us, we should look for the best angle and opportune time to ride them high to our destination.

I enjoy telling stories in the form of writing. When I am able to, I share stories in photos as well. I believe each one of us has a story to tell to inspire, caution, or even entertain. If you are intrigued by storytelling and would like to tell your story or read, you are in the right place.

My name is Kajuju Murori. I am a writer. I have written for The Exchange, She Leads Africa and The Culture Trip. I worked as a guest blogger for the yearly Kampala International Theatre Festival.
