Touching: coronavirus has made us appreciate what we took for granted

It is amazing how most of us tend to live our lives so unconsciously that we just pass through life without noticing some of the amazing moments around us. Those moments actually are enough to give life meaning. 

In recent months, especially, we have all craved for touch. A hug, a kiss, or both from loved ones. However, containment measures put in place to reduce the spread of Coronavirus has interrupted what we once took for granted.

Dating your co-worker is marvellous until it is not! Here is my experience

Ours started as a friendship.

One morning as I was seated in the front office, a young, shy man walked in to get directions to a department in my then organisation. He would end up working as a finance liaison officer for several years. Once in a while, he offered me support with my work so that we could enjoy plenty of time together without me worrying about pending assignments.

World breastfeeding week 2019: working with your baby’s needs

The importance of early breastfeeding cannot be emphasized enough. Apart from promoting mother-child bond, it is considered the healthiest way to nurse a newborn baby. According to research, breastfeeding the baby within the first hour, which is also known as the ‘golden hour’, provides your baby with optimal nutrients meant for growth and development. It is good for the mother too.
